I am a second-year PhD student at the School of Art History and Cultural Policy at University College Dublin. I have a bachelors’ degree in architecture and a masters’ degree in urban planning, both from India. My PhD involves working on an ERC Project called “Expanding Agency: Women, Race, and the Global Dissemination of Modern Architecture” led by Prof. Kathleen James-Chakraborty, professor of art history at the School of Art History and Cultural Policy, University College Dublin. My thesis involves a materialist analysis of modern design as sold to women in periodicals in 1930s British India.
