Doing Digital History; Using Digital Tools workshop

Join us for a Workshop on ‘Doing Digital History and Using Digital Tools’

Our workshop is part of the IAPH’s 2024 virtual series and will take place online on Friday 5 April, 1600-1800hrs (Dublin time). This event will be hosted via Zoom.

  • Learn how to become a digital historian
  • Get top tips and advice finding and learning to use digital tools
  • Learn about the practicalities of utilising digital tools in your research projects
  • Hear about colleagues’ journeys, experiences and opinions about digital history

Guest speakers:

  • Dr Janine M. Hubai (US Army Center for Military History). Janine is a graduate of George Mason University’s dedicated digital history PhD programme.
  • Dr Erik B. Villard (US Army Center for Military History). Erik is a graduate of the University of Washington and a professional digital military historian.
  • Dr Jack Kavanagh (UCD). Jack is Kavanagh is a graduate of the Digital Humanities PhD programme at Maynooth University and is Ireland’s only professional digital historian.
